E-monitoring of sewerage

Published October 30, 2007

LAHORE, Oct 29: The Japanese government has started e-monitoring of the sewerage system of the provincial metropolis. The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has developed a website about the whole network of open drains and sewerage pipes in the city with the collaboration of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

It is the first project of its kind in Pakistan, being monitored directly by a foreign agency using information technology, a Wasa Project Management Unit (PMU) spokesman said on Monday. —Staff Reporter
