MITHI, Oct 29: The court of civil judge and judicial magistrate of Mithi on Monday remanded six PPP activists, who were booked by police in two cases of rioting and obstruction, in judicial custody for14 days.
An activist Asghar Lund showed the court torture marks on his body and said that the police had severely beat him.
Another worker Mohammad Khan Lund stated that police had tortured them and they were not provided water and food.
The court ordered the jailor to take Asghar and others to hospital for treatment and also directed the DPO of Tharparkar to direct DSP (Sharafdin Pali) to appear in the court on Oct 31.
