DADU, Oct 29: Two leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Haider Bux Jatoi, a close relative of federal minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi and Nawab Saeed Ahmed Chandio, younger brother of PML-Q leader and Qambar-Shahdadkot District Nazim Nawab Shabbir Ahmed Chandio announced after meeting with Benazir Bhutto in Larkana on Monday that they had joined PPP.
They made the announcement at the residence of PPP leader Rafique Ahmed Jamali here after returning from Larkana.
Mr Jamali said that the inclusion of Haider Bux Jatoi and Nawab Saeed Ahmed Chandio who had been very close to Liaquat Ali Jatoi and wielded immense influence in Mehar taluka would strengthen the party in Dadu.
Meanwhile, federal minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi led a rally in Dadu, which was participated among others by his son district nazim Karim Ali Jatoi, MPA Sadaqat Jatoi and Zafar Ali Jatoi besides a large number of PML-Q activists.
Addressing the rally Liaquat Jatoi said that PPP leaders had returned to Pakistan only to protect their financial interests which they had earned through corrupt practices.
He claimed that the PML-Q would sweep all the seats in Dadu and form government with the help of its allies after general elections.
The PML-Q’s rally was preceded by PPP rally against Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim’s remarks against PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
The participants of the rally also staged a demonstration and blocked the road for three hours by setting ablaze tyres and an effigy of chief minister on the road.
