UPPER DIR: JUI-F holds protest against Swat violence

UPPER DIR, Oct 29: The activists of the Jamiat Ulem-i-Islam (JUI-F) staged a protest demonstration in Dir against the ongoing conflict in Swat and Waziristan. They asked the government to stop the operation and expressed the fear that violence could engulf the whole region.

Speaking on the occasion, party’s Upper Dir Amir Maulana Fazl Azim and general secretary Maulana Gul Badshah alleged that the government had launched military operation at the behest of the United States.

“Foreign powers are fanning violence”, they said, adding that it was a conspiracy against the country.

They condemned beheading of security personnel.
