By Anwarullah Khan

KHAR, Oct 28: A woman and her two young daughters were critically injured when an explosive device went off in Mamond area near the border here on Saturday night.

Officials and witnesses said that the device had been planted outside the main gate of Hayatullah Khan’s house in Lagharai village of Mamond tehsil, which exploded at midnight, wounding the woman and her daughters.

The injured were identified as Hayatullah’s mother Jana Bibi, 50, and sisters Maryam Bibi, 15, and Fatima Bibi, 12.

They were taken to the Agency Headquarters hospital, where doctors referred Jana Bibi to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital. The political administration has registered a case and is investigating.
