Unity among people stressed

ISLAMABAD, Oct 28: Speakers here on Sunday urged the people to forge unity in their ranks so that the country could be put on the path of development and prosperity.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of 15th seven-day Islamic Orientation Camp (IOC) held at the Islamic International University, Chairmen National Language Authority Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik said Pakistan came in being to solve the problems faced by the Muslims of sub-continent and provide them with ample opportunities to live in accordance with the teachings of Islam.

The ceremony was also addressed by Director Dawah Academy Prof Abdul Jabbar Shakir, Prof Imtiaz Zafar, Abdul Hafeez and a number of participants from four provinces and Azad Kashmir.

Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik highlighted role of the youth, especially young writers, in creating awareness and harmony among the people keeping in view the spirit of the Pakistan movement.

Quoting the Holy Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), Prof Abdul Jabbar Shakir in his speech said that ink of the pen of a scholar is more precious than a drop of the blood of martyr.

Prof Shakir said Dawah Academy would establish its libraries all over the country with special focus in Balochistan where it was also going to organize a special Youth Camp at Gawadar in December.

Participants of the course pledged they would strive to forge unity among various sections of the society by using their pens.

On the occasion, certificates and shields were distributed among the participants.
