Baltistan jolted; girl killed

SKARDU, Oct 27: An earthquake on Saturday jolted two districts of Baltistan, leaving one person dead and several houses damaged.

Sources said jolts continued for two minutes.

A 14-year-old girl, Maryam, was killed when the roof of her house collapsed in the Latchat village, some 145km from Mashabrum subdivision in the Ghanche district.

The sources said land slide had blocked some roads in the area.
