Benazir to land in Sukkur today

Published October 27, 2007

KARACHI, Oct 26: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto is booked on PIA’s Sukkur-bound flight which takes off at 0820 hours on Saturday.

Two armoured vehicles imported at more than Rs18 million left Karachi late Friday night to take the former prime minister from Sukkur airport to Larkana.

Meanwhile, the Sindh police released two photographs of the blast suspects stating that both attacks on Ms Bhutto’s convoy were suicide bombs, an opinion not shared by the bomb disposal unit, which has concluded that only one suicide attack took place.
