British academic visits GCU centre

LAHORE, Oct 26: Claire Birney, associate dean of international affairs at the University of Wales, on Friday visited the Government College University’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics (CASP).

Birney met CASP Director Prof Dr Ijaz Mujtaba Ghauri and discussed with him matters pertaining to exchange of faculty members and students between the two universities.

Dr Ghauri suggested long term academic cooperation between telecommunication departments of the two universities.

Later, Birney gave a brief presentation to CASP students about opportunities in the field of telecommunication at the Wales University. She said the Wales University was offering MSc courses in telecommunication with management.
