The governor presided over a meeting held to discuss problems of the earthquake-hit areas here on Thursday. Officials of Erra, Perra, Nespak, district and tehsil nazims and DCOs of the affected districts and the vice-chancellor of the Hazara University attended the meeting.
The acting director-general of Perra, NWFP, said that Rs29.428 billion had been disbursed among 311,960 people while Rs1.987 billion had been disbursed as livelihood cash grant among 110,423 families. He said the pace of development activity had picked up despite delays because of procedural bottlenecks.
However, representatives of earthquake survivors were unanimous that the pace of work was too slow and it needed to be accelerated.
