7 suspended

GUJRANWALA, Oct 24: Seven officials of the education department, including two assistant education officers, were suspended from service under the charge of absence from their duty here on Wednesday.

Reports said that Executive District Officer (Education) Raja Khadim Hussain paid a surprise visit to secondary and elementary schools in and around the city and found AAOs Mahmoodul Hassan and Rana Khalid Hussain, and five junior clerks, Ashfaq, Zakaullah Bajwa, Munir, Naeem and Arshed absent from their duty. The EDO suspended them from service and also issued show-cause notices to them. — Correspondent
