HYDERABAD, Oct 24: A teenaged girl Nasreen Bhatti has stated in her statement under section 164 Cr.PC before judicial magistrate and civil judge-VII here on Wednesday that she has been subjected to criminal assault by one person in Sehrish Nagar in the jurisdiction of Qasimabad police station few months ago as a result of which she became pregnant.
The Qasimabad police had produced the girl in the court for getting her statement recorded as a case of her kidnapping was earlier lodged on the complaint of her father, Abdul Jabbar Oad on October 10.
The Qasimabad police said that six people, including Hakim Jatoi, Badal, Abdul Sattar, Basheer Oad, Haleema and Zulekha, were named in the FIR. Two people remained unidentified but later during police investigation one was identified as Haji Sattar.
The girl said that Badal had subjected her to criminal assault and asked her not to name him. She said that later she came to know that she had become pregnant. She told the court that on October 6 Badal, his brothers Basheer and Sattar, Zulekha and Haleema came to her house and spoke to her father.
She said that while her father was sleeping, these people took her to their house where she was given some intoxicant and then she went through the process of abortion.
She said that she was then taken to her mother, who had divorce from her father. She added that she remained under treatment and then she came to Hyderabad along with her paternal aunt.
The family is residing in Oad Colony in Sehrish Nagar. Investigating officer of the case Lal Bux Lashari said that the case was lodged under sections 363 and 364 PPC while according to investigation police, sections of criminal assault would also be added in the FIR now against the accused. He said she would be medically examined as well.
