KARACHI, Oct 22: The Sindh Table Tennis Association (STTA) on Monday named a 17-member boys and girls’ squad for the 14th National juniors’ Table Tennis Championships to be held at Hyderabad from Oct 31 to Nov 3.

The events to be played in the championship are boys and girls U-15, U-18 singles, doubles and team events and boys and girls U-12 singles.

A spokesman for the STTA said that the U-12 event has been included first time on the instructions of PTTF.

Players belonging to Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, NWFP, Islamabad, Habib Bank, Wapda and Railways will contests for honours.

The championship will also form criteria for selection of youth for camp under the supervision of North Korean coaches who are due to reach Pakistan by the end of this month.

(Boys) Syed Ahsan Asad, Ahmed Aslam, Mehmmood Shekhani, Waseem Shekhani, Mohammad Usman, Aftab Arif (U-18); Salman Shahid, Mustafa Jamali (U-15); Tabish Khurshid and Moosa Arif (U-12).

(Girls) Maliha Khursheed, Anum Saeed, Palwasha Nafees, Zoya Anees (U-18); Abeera Ali, Sana Erum (U-15); Iqra Saeed (U-12).
