KARACHI, Oct 22: Two ships carrying containers and steel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.Over a dozen ships were berthed during the last two days and as many departed after unloading and loading various cargoes for foreign destinations.A total tonnage handled during the last two days totalled 0.270m tons including 44,724 tons of export cargo and 0.225m tons of import tonnage.The following ships are due on Tuesday: APL Brisbane with containers and Notori Dake with 21,581 tons of steel.Port Qasim

KARACHI, Oct 22: Three ships carrying rapeseeds, diesel oil and chemicals were accommodated berths on Sunday, said a PQA press release issued on Monday.Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.Berth occupancy stood at 70 per cent as seven ships, Federica, Skipper Ali, Berenice, Tianjin Pioneer, Chem Lily, Al-Salam-II and Eastern Tera, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds, edible oil, and diesel oil.A cargo volume of 60,990 tons comprising 59,868 tons of import and 1,122 tons of export tonnage was handled.Sailing was slow as only Federica left the port while Chem Lily and Al-Salam-II were expected to depart.
