Baramdagh named in blast FIR

QUETTA, Oct 21: Police on Sunday registered a case against Nawabzada Baramdagh Bugti and 18 others for their alleged involvement in a blast in a pick-up in Dera Bugti, in which five people were killed and 16 others were injured.

Police sources said Mir Liaquat Ali Bugti, son of Mir Ahmedan Bugti, a pro-government tribal elder, had nominated Nawabzada Baramdagh Bugti and 18 others, including Riaz Gul Bugti and Azmat Bugti, in the FIR.The Dera Bugti police arrested nine suspects in Kurdan area, some 15km off Dera Bugti town.

Dera Bugti DPO Najam Tareen told Dawn that those arrested also included an accused nominated in the FIR of the pick-up blast.

He said that police had seized machine-guns, AK-47 rifles, rockets, launchers and hand-grenades from their hideout.
