KHAIRPUR: Man, son electrocuted

KHAIRPUR, Oct 21: A man and his young son were electrocuted in village Jafar Jalalani in taluka Thari Mirwah on Sunday. Mohammad Budhal Khaskheli, 45, and his son Mohammad Aslam Khaskheli, 22, were on their way from village Jafar Jalalani to their agricultural lands when live electric wires fell on them from a pole. Relatives of the victims and villagers took the bodies and staged a protest demonstration by placing them on the road outside their village.

They said that the Hesco officials were responsible for the deaths.CANAL BREACH: Faiz Gunj wah developed a 30-foot wide breach near RD-45 on Sunday morning.Reports said that water from the breach was heading towards village Mohammad Rafique Halepoto, Mohammad Suleman Halepoto and other villages. Sugarcane and cotton crops standing over a huge area were submerged under the water.
