Police on high alert in NWFP
PESHAWAR, Oct 19: Following the blasts in Karachi, security has been beefed up in the NWFP capital and police have been put on high alert. Police personnel were deployed at various important places and they began searching people and recording their names before entering police stations.
Police personnel were also deployed at all the entry points of the city and cantonment areas.
However, no demonstration was held here against the blast as the provincial and district leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party were in Karachi.—PPI
