12 bodies reach Sindh interior

HYDERABAD, Oct 19: Bodies of 12 blast victims were brought to difference cities of Sindh from Karachi on Friday and were buried amidst tears and sobs. Out of the 12 bodies, three each were brought to Nawabshah, Jamshoro and Jacobabad districts and one each to Khairpur, Thatta and Naushahro Feroze districts. The bodies included those of two PPP workers from Kotri taluka.

There are reports that many PPP workers are still missing. Their relatives have left for Karachi to find out their dear ones or receive bodies.

At least three workers of Peoples Party from Nawabshah were killed and four others injured while some others were missing after the blasts which targeted the truck carrying PPP leader Benazir Bhutto, our Nawabshah correspondent reports.

PPP leader Ghulam Qadir Chandio told journalists that Abdul Wahab Bhatti, 19, of Taj Colony Nawabshah, Allah Ditto Zardari, 35, (of village Shah Inayat near Sakrand) and Zohaib Jamali, 19, (of Karam Ali Jamali) were killed in the tragic incident.

Ziaul Hassan Lanjar said that many of the party workers were still missing and they were searching for them in different hospitals.

COMPENSATION: Meanwhile, the District Nazim of Nawabshah, Faryal Talpur on behalf of district government has announced compensation of Rs100,000 each to the heirs of deceased.

The body of Fayaz Ahmed Bhutto was brought to his native village Imam Bux Bhutto in Khairpur district. A large number of party activists attended the funeral prayers. His body was wrapped in the party flag before being laid for burial.

A youth of Padidan area, who was among security guards of PPP chairperson, was killed in the Karachi blast, the deceased Nisar Ahmed Rajpar 20, was resident of village Drakhi near Padidan. His body was brought to village Drakhi for burial.

Body of Faiz Mohammad Sheedi was brought to Mirpur Sakro.

Bodies of two PPP workers Zulfiqar and Rashid Sehro were brought to Kotri.

Jacobabad Thursday’s midnight blasts in Karachi claimed three lives of residents of Kandhkot district. They were Shoukat Surhiani, Shahnaz Noonari (Kandhkot) and Ahsan Mazari (Guddu Barrage).

Six others of the area who received injuries were identified as Farooq Pathan, Taghio, Sohrab, Shahnawaz Noonari and an unidentified person of Kandhkot. The bodies could not reach their native place till the filing of this report.

Mohammad Aslam Abro, district president of PPP Jacobabad said that one party worker of Jacobabad district, Jani Jamali was seriously injured in the explosions and was admitted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

Larkana

The body of Mujahid Hussain Tunio 35 a PPP activist who was killed in Karachi blast, arrived in his native village ‘Thorhi Bijjar’ on Friday.

He was later laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. Body of another PPP worker, Bakhat Ali Mithani, who was chopped into two pieces, while attempting to embark a train at Dadu Railway station to participate in the PPP’s rally, was taken to ‘Garhi Yasin’ town on Friday and buried.

The body of Tahir Narejo, 32, an activist of People’s Students Federation, was brought to his ancestral village in the Kathri area in Mirpurkhas district. Later, he was laid to rest at Chitori graveyard amid touching scenes.

The young Narejo had been killed in the Karachi blasts.
