KARACHI: KUJ condolence


KARACHI, Oct 19: The Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) has expressed grief over the death of a large number of people, including cameraman Arif Khan of the ARY TV channel, in the bomb attack on former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s procession on Thursday.

In a statement issued here on Friday, KUJ president Shamim-ur-Rahman, general-secretary Jawed Asgher Chaudhry and other office-bearers offered condolences to the bereaved and prayed for the early recovery of KUJ executive council member Siddique Chaudhry, Apna TV reporter Shahid Anjum, CNBC reporter Salman Farooq, CNBC cameraman Mohammed Shahzad, DawnNews cameraman Abid Hussain and other journalists injured in the incident.
