GUJRANWALA, Oct 18: A first-year student who was kidnapped from Jinnah Road two days back claimed he escaped from the clutches of his abductors and was brought back from Lahore on Thursday.

The victim, Syed Khuram Shahzad, son of Syed Zahid Hussain of Fatumand locality, told newsmen that he was on his way home on foot when someone hit his head with a blunt object, leaving him unconscious.

He said on regaining consciousness he found himself locked in a room along with five other children who had been abducted from different localities of Lahore.

He said he later found out that the house they were locked in was located on Shahdara road.

He claimed all of the abducted children got a chance to escape from the house when they broke open its door in the absence of their abductors.

On getting free, he said, he informed his parents about the incident who immediately reached Lahore and brought him back.

Police was investigating the matter.
