PESHAWAR, Oct 18: A senior auditor has urged the government to take action against police and his rivals for allegedly occupying of his house.
Mohammad Azam, who is posted at the Accountant General’s office, told a press conference on Thursday that his rival, Arbab Saifur Rehman, had laid a false claim to a portion of his house located in Sheen Kamar of the Rahatabad area on the Palosai road and demolished the boundary wall with the connivance of police and armed men.
“I had agreed to pay Rs250,000 to him (Arbab Saif) if he produces the documentary proof in support of his claim”, he remarked.
He said that Arbab Saif agreed to the suggestion but he failed to produce any such proof.
He alleged that they manhandled with his family members and threatened them with dire consequences. Mr Azam said his two brothers were taken to the police station and kept in lock-up for a night without any charge.
