KARACHI: Repeal of anti-worker laws urged

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 17: The Pakistan Labour Federation (PLF) has demanded that all “black” laws against workers and the ordinances allowing forced retrenchment be withdrawn.

The demand came at a meeting chaired by PLF chief Atiya Saleem to discuss soaring price of essential items, massive unemployment and increasing incidents of suicide due to hunger and poverty in the country.

The meeting urged the government to allocate 60 per cent seat in the assemblies and senate to workers and tillers.
