KARACHI: Gang-rape probe

KARACHI, Oct 17: Sindh Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has ordered officials of the Sukkur and Ghotki police to initiate a probe into the alleged gang-rape of two women by eight persons in Ghotki and submit a report within a week.

He also took notice of the reported murder of a local journalist in Larkana and directed the regional police officer concerned to submit a report within the next three days.

Mr Qureshi noted a hike in wheat flour prices during the Eid days in different parts of the province, and directed the officials concerned to take action against profiteers and hoarders.—PPI
