Women panel holds rally for missing people

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 16: As the nation celebrated Eidul Fitr, the families of Balochistan’s missing people observed a ‘black day’ on Sunday and the Baloch Women Panel organised a big demonstration.

Carrying photographs of the missing people and placards inscribed with demands, the protesters paraded various roads chanting slogans against the government.

The demonstrating women gathered at the Manan Chowk where panel’s convener Shakar Bibi, BNP-Mengal’s former MPA Akhtar Hussain Lango and others spoke.

The leaders criticised the government for not producing the missing people before courts despite orders.

They said that a large number of Baloch youths, including political workers and students, had been taken away by agencies. They announced that they would continue their struggle till all the missing people were freed.
