Drunkard shot dead
SAHIWAL, Oct 13: An alleged drunkard was shot dead while another injured by two brothers when they tried to rape their sister at Chak 168/9-L.
Reports said Nadeem, Shamshad and Riaz, who were under the influence, entered labourer Muhammad Siddique’s house at midnight on Friday. They took his daughter, a seventh-class student, to a room where they tried to rape her.
As the girl raised an alarm, her brothers Shafiq and Anees rushed to rescue her and shot dead Nadeem and injured Shamshad. Another accomplice, Riaz, managed to flee.
The Ghaziabad police started investigation on a complaint. — Correspondent
