RAWALPINDI, Oct 11: An anti-terrorism court here on Thursday sent four suspects of suicide bombing to central jail Adiala on judicial remand till October 25 after police said they had completed their preliminary investigations and that they did not need their physical remand.

ATC 1 Judge Habibur Rehman sent Faisal Mushtaq, Qasim Mushtaq, two brothers, Fasihullah and Imdad Ullah to the jail for 14 days. They were suspected to be involved in July 17 and July 27 bomb blasts in District Courts and Aabpara market that killed 31 people.

Earlier, police claimed to have arrested Fasihullah and Imdad Ullah resident of Dera Ismail Khan and two brothers, Faisal Mushtaq and Qasim Mushtaq residents of Kotli Sattian from the area of Police Station (PS) Baharkaho. Three different FIRs under section 3 and 4 of explosive act of Pakistan Penal Code were registered with the PS on August 22.

On the other hand the father of the two brothers said Qasim was arrested from his house in the area of Shehzad Town police on August 9 and his elder son Faisal Mushtaq was picked up from the house of his maternal uncle in Wah cantt on August 1 and a kidnapping report was registered with the respective police stations.

He said he came to know about the whereabouts of his sons on August 22 when he saw on TV government claiming to have arrested suspects of suicide bombing. The other two were picked up from Raja Bazaar in Rawalpindi on August 9 when Fasihullah came to Imdad to obtain some money.

Meanwhile Taxila police have obtained seven days physical remand of a suspected terrorist pronounced as proclaimed offender in the case of bomb attacks on missionary facilities in Taxila and Murree five years ago killing some seven persons and injuring many others.

According to police, Nazeer Ahmed alias Usama a resident of Bahawalnagar was a member of eight-member group that carried out the grenade attacks on Taxila Christian Hospital killing six female nurses and Missionary school at Murree killing the guard in August 2002.

Earlier, the police arrested Safeer Ahmed a master mind of these attacks and is being tried in the same court.
