KARACHI, Oct 11: Nine ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load clinkers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 ships were notably among them being Hyundai Highway, Jade Trader, Soon Fu, Dong Shun Gang, Ulcas, Golden Accord, Ariclla and Bunga Melati-4 were berthed.

Sailing was also active as five ships, Harmony, APL Dukhna, Oriental Salvia, Oriental Protea and Ariclla departed, while Aqua Star, Soon Fu, Y.M. Sun, Bunga Melati-4, Banga and Cong Chon Gang are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was light totalling 61,002 tons comprising 27,467 tons of export cargo and 33,535 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Akaki with crude oil, El Esar with lube oil, Chem Lily with 5,000 tons of palm oil, Corin Thaikos, Ninos, Oel Trust, Eric G. Gibson with containers, Ocean Frontier to load 30,000 tons of clinkers and An Shun Jiang with general cargo.
