KARACHI: Firing leads to power cut

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 10: Power supply to a part of Baghdadi union council area was cut off on Wednesday morning when the main transmission line caught fire during firing by gangsters.

Panic gripped Saifi Lane and its adjoining localities when criminal elements resorted to an indiscriminate fire to force shopkeepers to close their business. Residents of the who area were confined to their homes.

No policeman was seen around to check the gangsters though the Baghdadi police station is located just a few yards from the scene of the firing. However, law-enforcement agencies entered the area after the criminals left.
