LAHORE, Oct 9: Deep defender Zeeshan Ashraf has informed the Pakistan Hockey Federation that he would be joining the national seniors hockey camp which commences on Oct 20 at the Hockey Club of Pakistan in Karachi.

The camp is being set-up for the preparation of national hockey team for the forthcoming Champions Trophy to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 29.

After participating in the Azlan Shah Cup at Ipoh, Malaysia, this year, Zeeshan had withdrawn from the national senior team citing family reasons, said a spokesman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation here on Tuesday. He skipped three back-to-back tournaments at Moscow, Beijing and Asia Cup at Chennai. —APP
