KARACHI : Property tax transfer


KARACHI, Oct 9: The Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani, has directed the officials concerned to immediately transfer the remaining amount of Rs52 million, collected as property tax during the last three years, to Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town.

He was presiding over a meeting of the department officials at his office here on Tuesday. Secretary Excise and Taxation Mohammad Nasir Jamali, Director-General Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town Nazim Mohammad Wasey Jalil and other officials also attended the meeting.

The provincial minister also directed the officials to complete the process of transferring the income generated through the collection of property tax without any further delay so that the amount could be utilised in the ongoing development projects in the town.

He also contacted the adviser to Chief Minister Sindh for Finance, M.A. Jalil and asked him about the early transfer of the amount to the town.—PPI
