Blast rocks Kalat

QUETTA, Oct 8: A powerful blast rocked Kalat town early on Monday. According to police, an explosive device planted near the Madina shopping centre went off during Sehri time.

Nearby shops were damaged by the powerful explosion which caused panic in the area. However, no casualty was reported.

Meanwhile, Beberg Baloch, identifying himself as a spokesman for the banned BLA, in a telephone call, accepted responsibility for the grenade attacks on a PML-Q leader in Khuzdar and a police official in Kalat. —Correspondent
