KARACHI, Oct 8: The Sindh government has authorised the following officers to use blue revolving lights atop their official vehicles:
District Coordination Officer, Executive District Officer (Revenue), Additional Executive District Officer (Revenue), District Officer (Revenue), Deputy District Officer (Revenue) and Mukhtiarkars.
The officers have been delegated powers of special judicial magistrate within their respective district of assignment. They have been given various assignments, including raids on wholesale and retail outlets to check profiteering, hoarding and overcharging, and impose penalties under the relevant laws, rules and regulations on offenders.—PPI
