NEW YORK, Oct 7: In an expensive full-page advertisement in New York Times on Saturday, a coalition of Indian organisations blasted Congress Party leader Sonia Gandhi for representing India on October 2 at the United Nations on the occasion of International Day of Non-Violence.
The advertisement says that “instead of a true Gandhinian delivering his message of peace and non-violence Sonia Gandhi who is not a representative of Gandhinian values was chosen.”
It claims that protests against the visit were planned by a newly-floated group, Forum for Saving Gandhi Heritage, and several other organisations.
They said that the group held a demonstration outside the UN building on October 2.
