Though the revenue officials, mukhtiarkar and DDO revenue have arranged some food on their own but so far no relief have been provided by the government to them.

For a few days local philanthropists also helped the affected people but they too have exhausted due to lack of proper food and drinking water. Many people were suffering from diarrhoea and other stomach diseases.

A villager, Gul Dero, said that their entire belonging, including wheat which they kept to use whole year, have submerged in eight to ten feet of water.

He said crops standing over 5,000 acres of land have been destroyed due to the breach in the Rohri canal. He said that no survey had been conducted to estimate the losses.
