KARACHI, Oct 6: Three ships carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another ship with seeds also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 80pc as eight ships, Maersk Novazzano, Cap Akritas, Sadwan Island, Spar Emerald, Harsanadi, Al-Soor-II, Qem Star and Mineral Star, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, fertiliser, edible oil, diesel oil, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 98,926 tons comprising 81,513 tons of imports and 17,413 tons of export tonnage was handled.
