LONDON: Hollywood actress Michelle Pfeiffer’s bet with George Clooney that he will never marry again currently stands at $100,000, she said in an interview to be shown on Friday.

“I bet him he would get married and he keeps inflating the bet from $100 to $100,000,” Pfeiffer told the Tonight with Jonathan Ross programme on BBC television.

“I still think he will, he’s a handsome devil.” Clooney, 46, is one of Hollywood’s leading men and most eligible bachelors who is currently on screen in Britain in the film “Michael Clayton”.

He has said that Pfeiffer, who starred opposite him in the 1996 film “One Fine Day”, and Nicole Kidman each made a 10,000-dollar bet that he would be married and have children by the year 2000.
