Shahbaz dazzles at AKG event

KARACHI, Oct 4: Shahbaz Butt hammered a whirlwind 130 not out off just 61 balls to help M. Tex XI outclass Baqai Dolphins by 103 runs and enter the Aga Khan Gymkhana Twenty20 Ramazan Cricket Tournament final at the AKG Ground on Wednesday.

Shahbaz, a wicket-keeper/ batsman on the domestic circuit, blasted 10 sixes and five fours as M. Tex XI made 242 for four. Nasir Jamshed, who also excelled with a 42-ball 80 that featured seven sixes and three fours, put on 180 for the second-wicket with the rampant Shahbaz.

Baqai Dolphins, in reply, scored 139 for five. Tariq Rasheed contributed 53.
