Man gunned down on resistance

FAISALABAD, Oct 4: Dacoits gunned down a man on offering resistance here on Thursday in Sattiana police precincts.

Reports said Mohammad Anwar of Chak 282-GB was on way to his outhouse when some robbers intercepted him and opened fire on offering resistance, killing him on the spot.

The body was handed over to the family after autopsy. Police have registered a case.

In another incident, robbers made off with fabrics and textile machinery worth millions of rupees from a factory situated at the Small Industrial Estate here on Thursday.

Bandits barged into the factory when it was closed and took away fabrics and machinery.

The factory owners claimed that robbers took away Rs25 million worth of valuables. A case has been registered.
