Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Oct 4: The All Party Democratic Movement (APDM) Hyderabad Chapter has appealed to people to observe complete shutter-down on October 6 in protest against the extra-constitutional steps taken by President General Pervez Musharraf.

A meeting was held in this regard wherein leaders said by bulldozing oath and constitution, General Pervez Musharraf was again trying to thrust himself on the nation. They vowed to resist this unconstitutional act.

They condemned the attack on lawyers and journalists and criticized the MPA Abdul Rehman Rajput, who was elected on the MMA’s ticket but has betrayed the people of Hyderabad by supporting government.

The meeting was chaired by Hanif Siddiqui of the PML-N and attended by MMA leader Abdul Waheed Qureshi, STP leader Muzaffar Kalhoro, Haji Sher Zaman of the ANP, Saleem Tareen of the PKMAP, Dr Abdul Samad of the PTI Abdul Rehman Shaikh and others.
