Grenade lobbed at Bugti House

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 2: A hand grenade was lobbed at the Bugti House on the Fatima Jinnah Road on Monday night.

According to Bugti House sources, some people came in a white vehicle and hurled the grenade toward the house which landed and exploded near the JWP office in front of the house.

The guards immediately came out and fired shots toward the suspected vehicle, but by then the assailants had escaped.

Police officials visited the house and started investigations.

Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti blamed government agencies for the attack. He said his security guards had fired on the assailants.

“Bugti tribesmen themselves would protect the Bugti House and would establish pickets around it,” he said.
