Accused in Mannu Bheel case remanded for seven days

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 2: First Additional and Sessions Judge Mirpurkhas, Mohammad Yamin granted seven-day police remand of Shabbir Kaimkhani, an accused in Mannu Bheel case, on Tuesday.

Investigation Officer Abid Kaimkhani requested the court police remand for proper investigation and interrogation.

At the hearing of the case on Tuesday accused Zamindar Abdul Rehman Mari, Jumo Bheel, Ibrahim Machhi, Lal Bux Hingoro, Mansingh Bheel, Rajo Bheel and Shabbir Kaimkhani were produced in the court by police.

Main accused Abdul Rehman Mari was escorted from Karachi Prison, while others were in District Prison, Mirpurkhas. The court adjourned the hearing till October 9.

Investigation Officer of Mannu Bheel case, Abid Kaimkhani said that the Provincial Police Officer after approval of the Sindh Government announced Rs5 million as reward for that person who will help police find the whereabouts of the family members of Mannu Bheel. He told reporters that police will display posters in main towns and cities of Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Umerkot, Tharparkar and Sanghar districts.
