KARACHI, Oct 2: With Eid shopping gaining momentum, a security plan has been devised for shopping malls and commercial areas, besides the main arteries falling in the jurisdiction of the Preedy police station to ensure immediate arrest of criminals.
Supervisory Police Officer (SPO) Preedy Salman Haider on Tuesday said that under the plan watch towers were being set up in the commercial areas, including Zaibunnisa Street, and telescopes and close-circuit cameras were being used to keep a watchful eye on criminals.
Regular police and plainclothes men had been deployed and the secret information gathering network reactivated, he added.—PPI
