HYDERABAD, Oct 1: Renowned scholar, historian and educationist, Dr Nabi Bux Khan Baloch urged the writers and poets on Monday to write on different problems plaguing Sindh today.

Dr Baloch said at a literary meeting organised by Bazm-i-Rooh Rehan to mark the 186th Urs celebration of Sachal Sarmast late on Sunday night that the writers should read Rumi, Attar and other great mystic poets in order to understand the message of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Sachal Sarmast.

The Bazm president and noted writer Hameed Sindhi said that the crux of Sachal Sarmast’s message was “know thyself”.

Bazm secretary, Dr Parwano Bhatti, Dr Habibullah Siddiqui, Mohammad Ali Diplai, Dr Bukhari and Dr Roshan also shared their views on the life and poetry of Sachal Sarmast with the audience.

SU: The students of the Institute of Art and Design of the University of Sindh on Monday displayed handmade Eid greeting cards at the Faculty of Arts building.

The students used figurative, floral collage, design and mix media in preparation of cards of different sizes. The director of the institute, Dr M.A.Bhatti, said that the exhibition was a regular feature organised by the institute every year during Ramazan. the holy month in which the students of Part-I to final year display their creations.
