LAHORE, Sept 28: Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s secretary-general Dato Paul Mony Samuel paid a visit to FIFA Football House here on Friday and met office-bearers of the Pakistan Football Federation.
He was accompanied by some officials of the AFC including Ganesh Thapa (head of delegation), Imtiaz Rehman (head of administration) and Chetan Kulkarni (media services) on the occasion.
Samuel said he was glad to know that the AFC President’s Cup proved a turning point in the history of Pakistan’s soccer.
“This is a great chance for Pakistani fans to watch some of Asia’s best club teams in action,” he said.
“The purpose of granting Pakistan rights to host the Cup was to partly exploit untapped potential of the game in this country,” Samuel added.—PPI
