LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Sept 27: The Khasadar force seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition after a shootout with smugglers on Wednesday night.
The Khasadar force intensified checking of vehicles at the Enzari checkpoint after receiving information about smuggling of arms to the area from Afghanistan. A Khasadar official said some people were spotted trying to shift arms through unfrequented routes. He said when they tried to stop the smugglers, they started firing on them. The force retaliated and after a brief encounter, the smugglers left the arms and escape. The seized cache included 11 Kalashnikovs and 2,450 Kalashnikov rounds.
