NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 26: Kandiaro police on Wednesday lodged an FIR under the directives of Sindh High Court’s Sukkur bench, against five men on charges of rape and looting.

Ms Ameer Zadi Kaleri, resident of village Nabi Bux Kaleri lodged an FIR under Section 17/3 ZHO and 376, 452 PPC against Mazhar Ali, Asif Ali, Mohammad Akram, Imtiaz Ali and Papo, all Kaleri by caste.

The complainant had submitted a petition in Sindh High Court Sukkur bench that Aslam Kaleri and Javed and others came to her house a few days back and demanded the hand of her daughters Shamaila 7, and Zamina, 6, but on refusal they abused and threatened them of dire consequences.

She further alleged that on Sept 6, the accused, Mazhar, Asif, Akram, Imtiaz and Papu barged into their house and beat her husband Rustam and brother-in-law, Yar Mohammad and confined them in a room and criminally assaulted her.

She further alleged in the petition that the accused men also looted gold jewellery worth Rs30,000, and 10 unstitched suits.

She said that she went to the police station Kamal Dero but they did not lodge the FIR.

Kandiaro police registered the case on the orders of Sindh High Court against the five men.

kidnapped: An irrigation surveyor of Rohri division was kidnapped on Tuesday night.

Basheer Kalhoro 26, resident of village Hussain Kalhoro near Bhirya serving as surveyor in the Irrigation department was on his way when received a call from the SDO to immediately report to duty at Rohri canal near Ranipur. The surveyor left in a car at about 11.30pm.

When contacted, Bhirya police said that the man was kidnapped near Dali village.

The police said that DSP Bhirya taluka Nazir Gujar, SHO Bhirya inspector Mumtaz Ali Jarwar SIO investigation police along with heavy police contingents were after the accused to wards Darbelo side.

No FIR was lodged in the matter until filing this report.
