MANSEHRA: 19 schools rebuilt in Mansehra

MANSEHRA, Sept 25: The District Reconstruction Unit (DRU), Mansehra, had completed the reconstruction of 19 school buildings and work on another 147 projects was in progress, an official said here on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference, the media and gender coordinator of the DRU, Maimuna Tirmizee, said the government was striving hard to rehabilitate the education, health, water and sanitation infrastructure and to enhance the livelihood resources of the earthquake survivors.

She said so far the reconstruction work, despite the completion of the reconstruction of 19 girls and boys schools, the reconstruction work on 50 schools would be started after Eidul Fitr.

She added that 175 water and sanitation schemes had been completed and work on another 326 projects was in progress.
