KARACHI, Sept 25: Four ships to load/offload containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

In the meantime, three more ships carrying chemicals, edible oil and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Missouri, Nedlloyd Africa, Powerful, Violet, Team Al-Emirates, Yanaseni, Keefan and Surya Wati, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rapeseeds, edible oil, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 100,443 comprising 80,033 tons of import and 20,410 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was also active as Thistle, Yanaseni and Surya Wati left the port.
