MIRPURKHAS, Sept 24: The employees of irrigation and health departments staged a demonstration outside the National Bank of Pakistan’s main branch here on Monday to protest against unnecessary objections raised by the bank officials on advance salary loan applications.
The protesters, led by Mohammad Soomar Khaskheli and Abdul Wahid, carried banners and placards, raised slogans against the bank officials and demanded inquiry into the matter.
DIES: A man, Shahid, who had been seriously injured in a road accident, died at the Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday night.
A speedy Naukot-bound coaster overturned near Digri on Sunday night as a result two passengers were killed and 20 others injured. Shahid was taken to the Hyderabad hospital due to his serious condition.
