KARACHI, Sept 24: Three ships carrying containers and DAP fertiliser are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a dozen ships including Sea Princess, Soon Fu, Wan Hai-311, Kota Gunawan, Iran Tabatabaei, Global Progress, Diomnd Park, Akai and Addaraq were berthed.

Five ships, Wan Hai-311, Soon Fu, Stolt Violet, Shina and Triga departed, while Akaki, Sea Princess, Diamond Park, Kota Gunawan, Iran Tabatabaei and Mol Admiration are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.223m tons comprising 33,263 tons of export cargo and 0.193m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: APL Brisbane, Harmony with containers and Sinar Emerald with DAP fertiliser.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, Sept 24: Three ships carrying containers, chemicals and seeds were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Germany, Powerful, Violet, Team Al-Pmirates, Thistle, Surya Wati, Yanseni, Thistle and Surya Wati, were occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rapeseeds, chemicals, crude oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 73,700 tons comprising 63,420 tons of import and 10,591 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as NSC Germany, Nkita, Oriental Miho and Arbalist left the port.
